Lose Weight from Diet and Exercise

If you are overweight, or feeling obese, now is the time to take control back. Your body is your life vehicle, and like your car that you rely on to get you to work and play, your body needs attention. Take care if it and it will take care of you; abuse it and it won't last as long as you want to stay on this earth.

weight loss
So how does one go about losing weight? There are plenty of pills that claim to take the pounds off, but they all have the fine print that say "As part of a regular diet and exercise program." That's right folks, if you want to shed the pounds you need to start eating right and working out. AS they say, no pain, no gain, or in this case no loss of weight.

working out and eating right
There are plenty of ways to have fun while still eating right and getting your exercise. Do you have a pet? Take it for walk every day, or at least three of four times per week. Dogs love to go on walks and sniff out the neighborhood, and getting them out and about is a great way to raise your metabolism through a slow and steady workout. We are not telling you to join the gym and start lifting weights (nothing wrong with that though, if you are inclined to do it), just get out of the chair or off the couch and start walking about, maybe thirty minutes a day or more.

diet and exercise
Eating right means eating healthy. Our food sources are so leached out that they barely contain the vitamins and minerals we need to sustain a healthy body. Consider eating organic foods, so that your body doesn't have to deal with the antibiotics and steroids given to our meat sources, or the pesticide and fertilizers that poison our fruits and vegetables. You don't have to give up meat, just starting eating leaner cuts or organic products. Eat more green foods, and other colors than just the typical brown starches you grew up eating.

Through exercise and diet you can add years to your life, and enjoy the life you have so much more. If your goal is to diet, then consider doing the natural way, through a regimen of eating right and daily or semi-daily exercise to increase your metabolism. The pounds will fall off you, and you will feel better because of it.
