Healthy Diet - Why Rapid Weight Loss Might Not Work For You.

Weight loss is a great thing, as it has many wonderful physical and emotion results. However, rapid weight loss can be detrimental in a number of ways. Though we want to lose weight as fast as we can, and that leads us to try many of the fad diets, we should remember and stick to normal, healthy, weight loss goals. With this in mind, let me bring to your attention some of the effects of rapid weight loss and why it is so bad for you.
Loose Skin appears as the body does not have time to let the skin shrink to the smaller body shape. The only way to reduce the appearance of lose skin is to undergo a tummy tuck surgery, which is generally too expensive for most of us to afford. So, even though you may be skinny again, you still will not able to go out on the beach in a bikini; is it really worth it?

Regaining the Weight is possible because it is likely that the fast weight loss was mostly water weight, rather than the goal of fat. Water weight causes your weight to fluctuate frequently as it is. Therefore, when you resume your normal eating patterns after reaching your goal, the weight will quickly come back.
Gallstones will have an increased chance of developing in someone who loses weight faster than recommended. Why is still unsure, but studies do show it.

Generally, most of us regard weight loss as a good thing, and it is. But, if it is not done the right way, it can be more harmful than good, so remember the disadvantages of rapid weight loss when you start trying to lose weight. Try not to lose more than 4 pounds per week, and aim for losing no more than two. This way you know you are losing the appropriate amount of fat.
