Many products in the market that fight bad breath merely mask the smell but do little to address the main cause. If you are committed to eliminate bad breath forever, you should begin to understand the causes of bad breath first.
The main causes for bad breath are many. One of the most common causes are poor oral hygiene and teeth or gum problems. If you suspect that the reason of your breath condition is due to your mouth, you should check it first. Look for signs of decayed teeth or leftover food in the mouth. With proper dental care, you can easily stop bad breath. Of course, a visit to the dentist every 6 months would help very much too.
While we are on the subject of oral care, you should not forget about your tongue. More than 80% of the bacteria in your mouth can be found on your tongue.
